There are many things I'm proud of in my life.. How well adjusted my three children are, the fact that I'm able to work from home and still pay bills, the new truck we just got because we found a heck of a deal, and the talents that I have. I have an aptitude in writing, photography, sewing, singing, playing musical instruments by ear, crafts.......... I was blessed with many talents. Take for instance, the photo to the left. That was taken in our front yard. The way the snow weighed down the branches of the bush just screamed for me to take a picture of it.....it was a nice crisp winter day that day, the heavy snowfall had occurred overnight. I went outside for the mail and noticed the bush sagging from the weight. I decided to go back inside for my camera, and I am glad I did. This beautiful picture is the result. I love snow almost as much as rain. If you've read my previous blogs, you know what I mean. The quietness of the world when it snows is phenomenal here. We tend to get a lot of snow at once (which is great for sledding by the way), and it muffles the noises of traffic, loud people, etc.Well I think I'm about done with this blog for now. Until next time!

Dear Dawn,
Your most recent work, "SNOW" was beautifully written. You expressed yourself with such warmth and eloquence. You are a true artist of writing and photography/design. The reader could relate personally to your descriptions of winter and what it means to you and how you have dedicated your life to your children. You took a period of your own childhood hurt and pain and turned it into hope and happiness. I could relate to so much of those expressions. Snow to me symbolizes a blanket that wraps around you and guards you from your previous exposure to anger and hurt and keeps you protected in it's delicate grasp. It was and still may be your escape from pain and your hope for a happy future for yourself and your family. Winter is a time of peace and reflection, the quiet of the season and the preparation of growth and renewal is a big part of the season's promise. Writing your emotions in this way must be helpful with the healing process. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it helps the rest of us when you share. I can't wait to watch you and the kids go down that sledding hill! I will make sure I have the movie camera ready to roll for the complete footage!!!
Love,
Les
