Ok, that's my new picture. I edited it of course, put the little frame around it and made it black and white, but hey I thought it looked very "Professional" of me. I am going to start doing photography again, and would like to have a somewhat professional appearance. I really miss doing photography.. it's been 3 years since I worked in an actual studio. I still do some minor photography, but they are all outdoor photos because of the lighting. I love camping, love the outdoors, the sounds you hear, the beauty of it all... walking on a trail two weekends ago, I was not keeping up with the group I was with. I kept stopping to snap pictures at scenery I looked at. There was one spot I stopped at that that was absolutely gorgeous. There was a giant old oak tree (I think it was oak, I'd have to pull out the picture to make sure). The tree had some wonderful green moss growing on it, and behind the tree were little rays of light filtering in between leaves on the other trees...... it was breath-taking. I love scenes like that.. We were camping at the Taquamenon Falls campground, so we were on our way to see the falls. They are another beautiful work of nature. The sounds were crazy around the falls.. The rushing of water down the falls, the birds chirping in the background, the sound of the breeze rustling the leaves in the trees.... it was fantastic.
My goal this weekend is to take the kids Hiking at the state park here. They have some beautiful ruins out in the forest, old lighthouse ruins. Then the further back in the woods you go the better it gets....after about 2 miles the woods open up to....... beach! that's right! Beach..wonderfully sandy water. The woods are right behind the Bay, so when you hike it takes you to the beach lol.
Anyways, maybe two weekends from now we can go camping at another attraction..... Pictured Rocks in the U.P.. That would be awesome, I've never seen them before.
